Subject: IMPORTANT: Update to ACLI’s COVID Guidelines
All,
With the COVID numbers going down and the CDC and state/local governments easing its guidelines, we are lifting the requirement of external guests needing to provide proof of vaccination and/or negative COVID test result before visiting the ACLI office. This change is effective immediately.
We encourage staff to wear their masks if that makes them more comfortable in the office or attending in-person meetings. If the meeting is hybrid, there’s the option attend virtually.
Also, effective immediately, we are lifting the travel restrictions for unvaccinated staff.
We appreciate everyone’s patience, advice and support the last 2 years as we’ve navigated our way through this pandemic. It’s not over but we’re headed towards COVID being an endemic which is a relief. As always, we will re-evaluate our guidelines if the situation warrants.
Let me know if you have any questions. Thanks!
Maria
WE NEED YOU TO DO YOUR PART
Laptops: If you haven’t yet, please bring your laptop home to make sure you are able to log on if the need to work from home arises. Attached are directions provided by IT (PDF). If you have any questions or problems, contact Glenn or Meng.
Avoid Handshakes: Explain to visitors that ACLI is trying to be proactive and avoid handshakes right now. Options can include a hand wave or, if it’s someone familiar, maybe an elbow bump.
Follow these Steps to Prevent Infection:
- Stay home if you are sick or work remotely if you feel like you’re coming down with something. Keeping our entire workforce healthy is one of our best defenses.
- Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds or use hand sanitizer located all around the office for your convenience.
- When sick, you should cover your nose and mouth with a tissue when coughing or sneezing (or an elbow or shoulder if no tissue is available). Immediately throw the tissue in the trash.
- Avoid close contact with people who have a fever or cough.
- If you are traveling abroad, you should monitor the CDC for health notices regarding outbreaks and the state department for travel advisories in other countries and take precautions to protect yourself.
- If you become sick while traveling please notify your supervisor and promptly call a healthcare provider for advice, if needed.
